finally went and spoke with a Dr.
(don't even ask about the lecture he gave me about risking my kidney function by letting this go)
Going for a CT Scan tomorrow.
Mom told me not to be afraid...
it's like a giant doughnut...
only it's eating me, instead of me eating it.
I also get to look forward to some blood work and urine samples (nice.)

Wishing you good luck....it will be totally fine. I've had some kidney issues the past few years (just spent 2 days in the hospital a couple weeks ago passing a stone) & had surgery a while back to remove a monster size one. maybe you can bring a doughnut in there with you and eat it during the scan? that would make me feel better (which speaks volumes about how i use food as a comforting device). good good luck. i hope they get to the bottom of it.
You will be fine! It's not as bad as you think (the giant donut machine), and after it's done you will think "Why the heck didn't I do this sooner?!" GOOD LUCK!!

oh reg...i am very very proud of you. you and your kidney worry me! you also just reminded me that the reason i got on the computer this morning was to schedule a colonoscopy - gross. i can thank my ancestors for a long line of colon cancer at a young age.
Way to go brave girl. What did the nurses think when you took the picture of your doughnut machine?

Ok I officially HATE not having the internet at our house. Hope everything is going well for you and your sweet lil fam. Regan, your kids are DARLING. You're such a good mama. It's so great to see my girl friends excel at this full time job of ours. You're awesome.
