I'm a big kid now.

After 8 years and then some...
Joel and I can officially announce that we have a big kids bed.
Gone are the days of just a mattress and a frame...
Yahoo!

I explained how it all came about here.

Same Day.

I love him. I love him. I love him.

Am I the only one?

... with a 20 month old that thinks this could be a good idea?

Lately...
Anderson has found it more and more hysterical to toss Maggie's cart down the stairs.
It's not hysterical...
He's already broken it once and the nice store replaced it free of charge
(not too sure they'd be super nice the second time around)
therefore,
if he does it,
there's no warning...
straight to time-out.

This morning he did it again, so off to time-out he went.
When his minute and a half was up,
I sat down with him and for the umpteenth time told him that
"it is not okay to throw the cart down the stairs"
"it could break"
"someone could get hurt"
"It is a No Thank-you"
I thought FOR SURE I got through to him this time.
(hmm mmm)

About a half hour later I walk out of my room and encountered the picture above.
He's literally rocking his body back and forth to propel forward.
I obviously halted the situation/
called for Joel/
waited for him to stand in a place of safety/
grabbed the camera/
then let his Dad take over the conversation for this one

I mean... seriously?

Daddy.

Happy Father's Day...

To the daddy in this home,
thank-you...
for turning a stool and rope into a carpet sled
for the mattress stair slide
for the wrestling
for the tossing
for the tickling
for the horseback and airplane rides
for the forts
for the ice cream runs
and for the hugs and kisses...

We're all quite smitten.

My Buddies.

Don't get me wrong...
they don't always get along.
But when they do?
It's heaven.
