Am I the only one?

... with a 20 month old that thinks this could be a good idea?

Lately...
Anderson has found it more and more hysterical to toss Maggie's cart down the stairs.
It's not hysterical...
He's already broken it once and the nice store replaced it free of charge
(not too sure they'd be super nice the second time around)
therefore,
if he does it,
there's no warning...
straight to time-out.

This morning he did it again, so off to time-out he went.
When his minute and a half was up,
I sat down with him and for the umpteenth time told him that
"it is not okay to throw the cart down the stairs"
"it could break"
"someone could get hurt"
"It is a No Thank-you"
I thought FOR SURE I got through to him this time.
(hmm mmm)

About a half hour later I walk out of my room and encountered the picture above.
He's literally rocking his body back and forth to propel forward.
I obviously halted the situation/
called for Joel/
waited for him to stand in a place of safety/
grabbed the camera/
then let his Dad take over the conversation for this one

I mean... seriously?

Oh.My.Goodness.
I gotta say, Jack NEVER did dare-devil stuff like that. Brody on the other hand, I gotta keep my eye on. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!

Oh My! From the picture you can't really see the stairs going down, but that would be one crazy tumble!! Hopefully he got it all out of his system!!

Welcome to the world of boys.
Good luck!
Remember, everything is a stage. I often repeat that to myself ten thousand times a day.

At least you got a picture, that is the most important part! It must be second-child-syndrome, and he is a boy. They are just naughtier...good luck, hope you don't have any broken bones this month.

If this is a boy thing or a second child thing, then I'm in BIG trouble... I have a boy for a second child coming... and I know for a fact that if we had stairs, Charlie would be doing this exact thing. Thanks for sharing! It makes me feel like my child is a BIT more normal... :)

Welcome to the life of boys, Colton would come up with tons of stuff to ride down the stairs and he would take his sister with him!!
It just gets better and if you add another boy to the mix, look out!! And just wait till he turns 13, then the fun begins, never in my life have I seen boys be soo stupid/crazy...excpt when my brothers and their friends were stupid, but I was young and thought they were super cool!! lol. But it is lot's of fun, I think this is one of the many reasons why I LOVE little boys. How they survive their life is beyond me.

Oh my gosh! Heart attack inducing.

Funny that you posted about the shopping cart. Is it from PBK? Eliza's birthday is coming up and I was just about to press 'complete' order on my online purchase of this exact cart for her birthday. Aside from Anderson's misuse of said shopping cart, do you think it's a good purchase for a two-year-old?
