Sickies...

This past week hasn't been our best...
both little munchkins had their bout with the stomach flu.
Ander has woken up twice in his bed covered in puke...
no tears... no freak outs...
just a look of pleading for some assistance...
so sad.

Mags threw up probably 6 times in the time span of three hours one night.
10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
She was over it and so was I.
I literally teared up every time she yacked...
watching her little body convulse was almost more than I could handle.
Instead of showing her what I wreck I was becoming,
I would cheer each time she was done and would tell her what an "awesome job" she did...
you'd think she'd just scored the winning 3 in the finals of a basketball game.

Joel was on gingerale, cracker, clean the bowl duty...
while he allowed me to be on snuggle duty.

After one throwing up escapade Maggie turned and questioned
"if she had made a mess..." cause she "didn't want to make a mess".
Gosh I love her.

The night Mags was sick I slept (if you could call it that) with her,
so in the morning Joel got up with the kids.
They must have been feeling better because when I finally pulled my tired butt out of bed,
they had made a fort
and Joel had taken multiple pictures.

These two were my favourite...
The one just below is unedited...
the ISO was plenty high to make it grainy and the blur is from Miss' fingers trying to grab the lens.

This one makes me laugh...
when Joel showed it to me he was like
"look! He looks like he's pickin' his nose!"
Of course that would be Joel's favourite part...

Everyone is feeling much better in this household...
and I'm glad.

Oh I wish you were here to cheer me on when I am hoovering over the toilet. Isn't it just the saddest thing to have their little bodies wrench like that...plus side being that they just lay there and cuddle all day!!! I love love love all of your posts...Mags makes a fantastic Harry Potter, Anderson well I really don't think you could get any cuter, and when I have my boy could I just have all of the clothes that he wears? Miss you Regs, and ps are you still coming home for christmas?

Oh man, kids throwing up is the worst. Your heart just aches for them and there isn't a dang thing you can do about it. Glad it was short lived and everyone is doing better!

Oh Reg, I'm sorry your babies have been sick. It really is one of the worst feelings, to watch your kids puke and there's nothing you can do to make it stop. I went down to kiss my boys after getting home last night, smelled something awful, and realized Chance was covered in puke. He didn't ever cry or make a sound, slept right through it. Seems like the yuck has come our way.
Glad you all are feeling better. What a crappy week you had :(
