The snow has finally arrived.
Colorado Springs got a good amount of the white stuff this past week
and the mountains were bound to be dumped on.
After reading weather reports for Monarch (over 4ft. in 1 week)
we knew we had to get another ski day in.
Sadly, Joel's work schedule didn't quite align with Mags' school schedule.
After debating and debating, we decided to bite the bullet and just take an unexcused absence.
Joel and I were literally wrestling in bed over who would have to call in to the school.
(we're slightly scared of the school system's "tardy" rules)
Nobody won or lost, so we went to bed...
I woke up the next morning to the giddiest voice (JW) saying "Reg.. Reg! They called a snow day!"
Best. News. Ever.
We were able to enjoy the most amazing day as a family, with the most amazing snow...
After we got home last night, the kids were asleep in their beds, gear was strewn all over to dry out, and both Joel and I were laying as elongated as possible to stretch out...
I just felt so happy.
