"If I had my little way,
I'd eat peaches every day"

I'm Domesticated!
I don't know why canning peaches defines that word for me, but it sure does. I felt like it was a pretty monumental moment as I got those fuzzy little round bundles of goodness ready for their new homes. I knew that something was changing in me, and it was... I loved canning! I want to can my socks, books, toothbrushes (you name it, I'll can it) now, I loved it so much. The best part is, my husband loves canned peaches (might have something to do with his Mom and her peach canning expertise), and he thinks I'm a hero now. I kind of like being the domesticated hero around here. It's a roll I thought I'd snub, but I'm pleasantly surprised with it (so much so, that I've kind of gone a little crazy with it this week, but that's for a future entry). Now... let's just hope they don't go rotten because of my lack of expertise, it might deflate the "I'm the Woman" pride I've got going on.

You are quite the domestic one, but you always have been. You iron more than anyone I know...
I am totally impressed! I wouldn't know how to can something if my life depended on it. I guess my claim to domesticated woman is my sewing machine. Does that count?
Now I am craving peaches...
ohhhhh....teach me please!
ok, you are for sure coming up next year to can our orchard of peaches :) you weren't kidding about that in your comment!
these look sooo good.
i'm picking up some bc peaches and pears to can next weekend when i'm in alberta for a wedding, and i am soooo excited!
too bad you don't live close ... we could do it together!
I just did some too! And you forgot to mention its hard work.!!
I did it with my friend and the only reason she does it is because one day her son was eating some of the peaches and said, you really love us huh mom! So cute.
Tomorrow I am doing pears! YUM!
I'm so impressed. I'm so, so far away from being anything close to domestic
I make my mom can fruit and bring them to me. And when she comes to drop them off, I make her iron my clothes too! :)
Yummy yum yum! Wanna send me some?? Or maybe I'll just come and get em:)
WOW! You are amazing. The peaches from Costco are the best. They are going to taste fabulous!
Well, well who knew you were such a domestic diva! Absolutely adore the tutu...bigger is pretty much always better. All of your pics have a cute little border do you do that in photoshop and then upload, just checking to see if there is a shortcut that you can share. Have a good one!!
