During the week of Joel's break, we grabbed the opportunity to drive down to San Diego to see Uncle Johnny and Auntie "D", and go to the place "where all your wishes come true". It was such... such... a great time.
We pretty much made Maggie do everything, but once we entered the Haunted House, Joel thought we were pushing it a little far, so he took an early exit (it wasn't any scarier than the Ghost and Goblin section at Target, and she breezed through that totally unscathed). I was obsessed with how the Mansion was decorated, it looked perfect.

Why did Cinderella have to be first?!?!?
When we walked around the corner to meet the princesses, Cinderella was the first one we greeted. Mags was so overwhelmed, she'd just stare at her and then look at us, she didn't want to say hi, definitely no hugs, and a picture was pushing it. You better believe though, soon as we left Cinderella and approached the next princess (Snow White), the first and only sentence out of Maggie's mouth was "I wan Awella" (notice she's getting closer and closer to getting the her actual name right?) Snow White was very gracious about it, but I felt kind of bad.
Mags was all warmed up by Jasmine, she certainly got the most loving, although she was also informed by Maggie that she wanted "Awella".
Maggie's face was more concern than smiles most of the day, you could see her constantly trying to process it all and mentally decide whether she liked what she was seeing or not.
Isn't the parade always the best part? I loved how Mags started getting excited when the music started and you could hear the parade coming. She was in awe of everything, especially the Princess Float.
Thanks John and DeAnne for letting us come stay and play! We love you!
