Representing my Roots

Last night we caught the second half of the Opening Ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

I was bummed that we had missed both Team Canada and Team USA entering the stadium,
therefore missing their official team attire.

(because let's be honest here... if you don't look good... you won't perform good)
(that should totally be the official Olympic motto)

As soon as the camera connected with Team Canada and I saw their hats I turned to Joel and without any thought these were literally my exact words...
"Sweet touques eh?"

Oh yeah... That's right...
You can take the girl out of Canada...
but you can't take the Canada out of the girl!

The first half was the best part! It just went downhill from there. But we did look pretty good I must say! The toques were sweet! My fav was the mittens with the maple leaf on the palm.

I want one of their toques. I looked online today for it. The mittens were cute too. I actually thought CAnada did awesome with their attire this year...USA, now that's another story. Cream turtle necks with white pants, I was not impressed!
